Kalp krizi riskine ‘yapay zekayla’ erken teşhis

Trabzon Karadeniz Teknik Üniversitesi (KTÜ) ile Çorum Hitit Üniversitesi’nde bilim insanları çalışmalarında, insan nefesindeki molekülleri analiz edip, kalp krizi riskini yapay zeka teknolojisiyle önceden teşhis edebilen cihaz geliştirdi.

Sağlık teknolojisi ve biomedikal üzerine çalışmalar yürüten KTÜ Mühendislik Fakültesi Elektrik-Elektronik Mühendisliği Bölümü Öğretim Üyesi Doç. Dr. Önder Aydemir, Çorum Hitit Üniversitesi’nden Elektrik-Elektronik Mühendisliği Bölümü Öğretim Üyesi Dr. Bilge Han Tozlu ile Tıp Fakültesi Kardiyoloji Anabilim Dalı'ndan Prof. Dr. Yusuf Karavelioğlu ve Karamanoğlu Mehmetbey Üniversitesi'nden Dr. Öğretim üyesi Cemaleddin Şimşek, çalışmalarında; insan nefesindeki molekülleri analiz edip kalp krizi riskini yapay zeka teknolojisiyle önceden teşhis edebilen cihaz geliştirdi.

‘Biomedical Signal Processing and Control’ dergisinde makalesi yayınlanan cihazla; naylon poşet ya da balona doldurulan nefes, moleküllere dönüştürülüp, aktarıldığı bilgisayar ortamında inceleniyor.

Tasarımla, bir kişinin kalp krizi riski taşıyıp taşımadığı 30 saniyede teşhis ediliyor.

Sağlıklı ve kalp rahatsızlığı bulunan bireylerde yapılan deneyler sonucunda, kalp krizi riskini erken teşhis etmeyi başaran bilim adamları, Türk Patent ve Marka Kurumu'nca ulusal patent de aldıkları cihazı daha da geliştirerek cep telefonlarına entegre etmeyi, kalp krizi kaynaklı ani ölümleri de önlemeyi hedefliyor.

‘SANİYELER İÇERİSİNDE SONUCU ÇIKARTIYORUZ’ 

Biyomedikal mühendisliği alanında çalışmalar yapan KTÜ Mühendislik Fakültesi’nden Doç. Dr. Önder Aydemir, “Sağlıklı bireyler, kalp krizi ve kalp hastalığı riski olan insanların nefes bilgilerini elektronik burun teknolojisiyle sinyale dönüştürüp, bunu elektronik burunla bilgisayar ortamına kaydettik.

Yapay zeka algoritmalarıyla birlikte insanların ‘miyokard enfarktüsü’ olup olmadığını nefes bilgilerinden otomatik olarak tespit etmeye çalıştık. Elde ettiğimiz sonuçlar gayet umut verici ve gelecek için de çarpıcı.

Çalışmamız tescillendi. 10 saniye boyunca kişinin nefesini alıyoruz ve saniyeler içinde sonucu çıkartıyoruz. Bir kişinin durumunu 30 saniyede öğrenebiliriz” ifadelerini kullandı.

‘ANİ ÖLÜMLERİN DE ÖNÜNE GEÇİLEBİLİR’ 

Kalp krizinde erken müdahalenin önemli olduğunu belirten Doç. Dr. Aydemir, “İnsanlar acile gittiklerinde elektro kardiyogram sinyalini kardiyolog hocalarımız inceler ve kalp krizi olup olmadığını bulmaya çalışırlar.

Bu zaman alan bir süreçtir. Kalp krizinin erken müdahalesinin önemini dikkate alırsak bu 50 dakikalık sürenin hastanın hayatını olumsuz yönde etkileyebileceğini söyleyebiliriz. Geliştirdiğimiz bu teknolojinin pratik olarak tespitiyle veya gelecekte cep telefonlarına bile entegre edilebileceğini düşündüğümüzde, kişiler anlık olarak kendini kontrol edebilir veya hastanelerde hızlı bir kontrol masası dahi oluşturulabilir. Bu manada ani ölümlerin de önüne geçilebilir” diye konuştu.
