TTB'de deprem: Özel Hekimlik Yürütme Kurulu istifa etti

Türk Tabipleri Birliği içerisinde faaliyet gösteren Özel Hekimlik Kolu Yürütme Kurulu üyelerinden istifa haberi geldi.

TTB Merkez Konseyi’ne ilettikleri yazıyla istifalarını bildiren heyetin açıklaması şöyle:

TTB Başkanımızın açıklamalarının “şahsi görüşler" olarak değerlendirilmesinin, TTB üyesi hekimlerin ne görüşünü ne de gündemini yansıtmadığının kamuoyuna aktarılması gerektiğini düşündüğümüzü 25.10.2022 tarihinde TTB Merkez Konseyi’ne yazılı olarak bildirmiştik. Konunun gerek meslek örgütümüz TTB’ne, gerekse tüm hekimlere verdiği/verebileceği zararlar ile ilgili çekincemizi de belirterek, gereğinin yapılmasını beklediğimizi belirtmiştik. 

TTB Merkez Konseyi uyarılarımızı dikkate almayarak, serbest çalışma özgürlüğümüzü kısıtlayan yönetmeliğin yayınlandığı tarihi bir dönemde, -endişelerimizi haklı çıkaracak şekilde- serbest hekimlerin hak arayışlarına destek veremez duruma gelmiş, Özel Hekimlik Kolu Yürütme Kurulu olarak bizleri de işlevsiz bir duruma sokmuştur. TTB Başkanı’nın gözaltı ve tutukluluk sürecinin başladığı andan itibaren TTB tarafından “serbest hekimliğin sonu olacak ve tüm hekimleri köleleştirecek” bu yönetmelik değişikliği konusunda Sağlık Bakanı'na cevaben yazılan tek bir açıklama dışında yeterli bir paylaşım, toplantı, aktivite yapılmamış/yapılamamıştır. Oysaki TTB’nin varlık sebebinin mesleğimizin sorunlarını, haklarını her platformda dile getirmek, mesleğin, üyelerinin maddi, manevi haklarını, çıkarlarını korumak olduğu unutulmamalı, meslek örgütü olarak öncelikli görevi mesleğimizin kabulü, ünvanların korunması, tanıtılması, yaygınlaştırılması ve en çok da mesleki kimliğin geliştirilmesinin sağlanması olmalıdır. Bu amaçlar doğrultusunda ve “her koşulda” meslektaşlarının yanında olması gereken meslek örgütümüz, hekimlerin serbest çalışma hakkının kısıtlandığı, muayenehane hekimlerinin ameliyatlarını yapamaz hale getirildiği bir dönemde, şahsi ve hatta münferit ideolojiler peşinde koşmayı meslektaşlarının hak mücadelelerine destek olmaya tercih eden bir tavır sergilemekte beis görmemiştir. 

TTB Özel Hekimlik Kolu’nun parçaları olarak TTB Merkez Konseyi’ne yönelik tekrarlı taleplerimizin yerine ulaşmıyor olması, öncelik ve önem sırasında ne yazık ki yerimiz olmadığını göstermekte, buna mukabil mücadelenin örgütsüz ve eksik kalması ise serbest hekimlerin hak mücadelesini güçsüzleştirmektedir. Özel Hekimlik Kolu’nun üyeleri olarak böyle bir dönemde bu denli sahipsiz, işlevsiz bırakılmış olmayı anlamlandıramıyor ve dikkate alınmamayı hak etmediğimize inanıyoruz. Halbuki, bu dönemde yürütülecek etkin bir örgütlü mücadele sadece serbest hekimlerin hak kayıplarının engellenmesi ile sınırlı kalmayacak, erken dönemde bir çok özel hastane ile cerrahi tıp merkezlerinde çalışan hekimlerin, uzun vadede tüm hekimlerin çalışma koşullarını ve özlük haklarını olumsuz etkileyecek zincirleme bir reaksiyonu da önleyebilecektir.  

Halen serbest hekim olarak çalışan bizler, aslında kamu-özel  tüm hekimlerin, gelecekte hekim olmayı seçecek hekim adaylarının anayasal ve yasal haklarının gaspına karşı çözüm üretmek için elimizden gelen gayreti her platformda göstermeye devam edeceğiz. Ancak, yukarıda özetlediğimiz nedenlerle işlevini yitirdiğini düşündüğümüz Özel Hekimlik Kolu’nun Yürütme Kurulu Üyeleri olarak, örgütlü mücadeleye en çok ihtiyaç duyulan dönemde serbest hekimlerin hak mücadelelerini yeterince destekleyememenin üzüntüsünü yaşıyor ve TTB Merkez Konseyi’nin sorumluluğunda yaşanan bu sürecin bir parçası olmayı reddediyoruz.

Since so little is understood about this whale species, researchers like O’Corry-Crowe and his colleagues are working diligently to conduct studies to document narwhals’ unknown behaviors to better understand how these animals adapt in a rapidly shifting habitat as oceans warm and sea ice melts.

When researchers observed a lack of aggression in some interactions between narwhals and fish, they realized these scenarios were more similar to a cat-and-mouse game, in which the animals were chasing or “playing” rather than hunting, O’Corry-Crowe said.

Here, they spend brutally cold winters hunting seals on ice under the northern lights in near perpetual darkness. Although these days, they can also rely on community stores.

The problem for travelers over the years has been getting to Greenland via time-consuming indirect flights. That’s changing. Late in 2024, the capital Nuuk opened a long-delayed international airport. From June 2025, United Airlines will be operating a twice-weekly direct service from Newark to Nuuk.

Two further international airports are due to open by 2026 — Qaqortoq in South Greenland and more significantly in Ilulissat, the island’s only real tourism hotspot.

Trump’s plan for the African Development Foundation snapped into action almost immediately, with DOGE staffers meeting with the foundation’s leadership within days of Trump’s February 21 executive order. Faced with the overhaul, the board held an emergency meeting on Monday to push back, according to a lawsuit filed in federal court in Washington this week. The board decided Trump’s appointee, Peter Marocco — the de-facto acting leader of USAID, another agency Trump has targeted — was not lawfully in the job, and they alerted Congress, the removed board member Ward Brehm’s lawsuit said.

Marocco still showed up at the fund’s headquarters with staffers of the Department of Government Efficiency on Wednesday afternoon. They “were denied access to those offices,” the lawsuit said. “Marocco and his colleagues threatened to return to the offices with United States Marshals and Secret Service.”

The fish collectors hoping to save rare species from extinction

In the rural town of Petersham, Massachusetts, 78-year-old Peter George keeps 1,000 fish in his basement.

But for some species, there is still hope. A community of rare fish enthusiasts collect endangered species of freshwater fish from the lakes and springs of East Africa, Mexico and elsewhere, and preserve them in their personal fish tanks in the hope that they might one day be reintroduced in the wild.

“I’m a hard ass,” George says. “There is hope.”

George has been collecting fish since 1948 when, as a four-year-old in the Bronx, he would look after his grandmother’s rainbow fish. He soon developed “multiple tank syndrome” – a colloquial term used by fish collectors to denote the spiral commonly experienced after acquiring one’s first tank, which involves the sufferer buying many more tanks within a short space of time. He has not stopped collecting since.

Now, George sees himself as a conservationist; his tanks contain what is known as “insurance populations” – populations of endangered fish that are likely to go extinct in their natural habitats. He believes that when the time is right, they can be taken from his collection and returned to their homes. “I would never accept the fact that they couldn’t be reintroduced,” he says.

The molecules cannot currently be confirmed as evidence of past life on the red planet, but they add to the growing list of compounds that robotic explorers have discovered on Mars in recent years. A study detailing the findings was published Monday in the journal Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences.
The detection of the fragile molecules also encourages astrobiologists that if any biosignatures, or past signs of life, ever existed on Mars, they are likely still detectable despite the harsh solar radiation that has bombarded the planet for tens of millions of years.
