Karotisi saran tümörü temizledi, tıp literatürüne girdi. 33 yaşındaki hastasının şah damarını 360 derece saran tümörü başarılı bir ameliyatla temizleyen Prof. Onur Göksel, operasyonuyla dünya tıp literatürüne girmeyi başardı

Hastalık Giresun Bulancak'ta yaşayan 33 yaşındaki Sencan Tomak'ın 2011'de ikiz çocuklarını dünyaya getirmesinden sonra boynundaki şişlikle başladı. Genç hasta derdine çare ararken Çapa'da görev yapan Prof. Onur Göksel'e ulaştı. Göksel, kalbinden başlayıp boyun bölgesine kadar olan şah damarında bir tümör oluştuğunu tespit ettiği hastasını takibe aldı. Bu arada tümörün fotoğrafını çekip, Avrupa Damar Cerrahisi Derneği'nin başkanlığını yapan ve dünyada en önemli otoritelerden biri olan Prof. Ross Naylor'a gönderdi. Naylor, literatürde böyle bir tümör olmadığını bildirdi. Göksel, bu arada durumu su içemeyecek kadar ağırlaşan hastası Sencan Tomak'ı, 23 Ocak'ta ameliyata aldı.

Sözcü'den Hande Zeyrek'in haberine göre şah damarındaki tümörden kurtulan Sencan Tomak, duygularını “İçtiğim su bile boğazımdan geri geliyordu. Ameliyat oldum, yeniden doğdum. Onur hocama minnettarım” diye ifade etti.

Başarı Çapa'nın

Operasyon başarılı geçti ve hastanın şah damarını 360 derece saran tümör tamamen temizlendi. Prof. Göksel, Tomak'ın şah damarından aldığı tümörün şekli, türü ve konumu itibariyle tıp litaratüründe daha önce rastlanmadığını belirtti. Prof.Göksel, bu operasyonda esas başarının Çapa çalışanlarına ait olduğunu da vurguladı. Bunun gerekçesini ise, “Türkiye'de modern tıbbın başladığı kurum burasıdır. İstanbul Tıp Fakültesi bugünlerde zor günler geçiriyor. Ama bu şartlarda bile hayat kurtarmaya ve cesaret edilemeyen ameliyatlar yapmaya devam ediyoruz. Fakülte olarak yıkılmadık, ayaktayız” diye açıkladı.

The Danube stood at 1.17 meters (3.8 feet) in Budapest on Tuesday, which compares with an all-time record low of around 0.4 meters (1.3 feet) registered in October 2018. During floods, the Danube rises well above 6 meters (19.7 feet).

“Eastern Europe is experiencing critical drought conditions that are affecting crops and vegetation,” the European climate service Copernicus said on its website in its latest drought report, published earlier this month.
