Sağlık Bakanlığı Koronavirüs Bilim Kurulu Üyesi Kayıpmaz, en çok görülen enfeksiyonların RSV, influenza, rhinovirüs ve Kovid-19 olduğunu, korunmak için maske ve hijyenin yanı sıra risk grubundakilerin hatırlatma dozlarını ihmal etmemelerini söyledi.

Sağlık Bakanlığı Koronavirüs Bilim Kurulu Üyesi Doç. Dr. Afşin Emre Kayıpmaz, yaptığı açıklamada, kış aylarında kapalı ve kalabalık ortamlarda daha fazla zaman geçirilmesinin enfeksiyon görülme sıklığını da artırdığını vurguladı.

Acil servis başvurularında boğaz ağrısı, burun akıntısı, öksürük, ateş, halsizlik gibi şikayetlerin ön plana çıktığını ve hastaların büyük bölümünün ayaktan tedavi, evde istirahatle bu süreci atlattığını anlatan Kayıpmaz, "Şu an hastalığa en çok sebep olan etkenler RSV, gribe yol açan influenza, rhinovirüs ve Kovid-19'a yol açan SARS-CoV-2 virüsü. Hastaların büyük çoğunluğu bu enfeksiyonları ayakta atlatsa da bulaştırıcı olmaya devam ediyor." ifadesini kullandı.

Kayıpmaz, söz konusu enfeksiyonların ileri yaşta veya kronik hastalığı olan kişiler açısından ağır hastalık riski oluşturduğuna dikkati çekerek, sözlerini şöyle sürdürdü:

"Hastalık belirtisi gösteren kişilerin toplu ortamlarda maske takması hastalıkların bulaşmasının önlenmesi açısından önem taşıyor. Sağlıklı bireylere de aynı şekilde kapalı, kalabalık alanlarda özellikle enfeksiyonların arttığı bu dönemlerde maske takmalarını öneriyoruz. Hastalıklardan korunmak için kapalı ortamların sık sık havalandırılması, el hijyenine dikkat edilmesi önem taşıyor. Maske, mesafe ve hijyen, sadece Kovid-19 değil, diğer solunum yolu enfeksiyonları veya temasla bulaşan mikroorganizmalara karşı da koruma sağlıyor."

"Enfeksiyonlar bir süre daha artış gösterebilir"

Bilim Kurulu Üyesi Kayıpmaz, risk grubundaki kişilerin Kovid-19'a karşı hatırlatma dozlarını ihmal etmemesi gerektiğinin altını çizerek, yerli aşı TURKOVAC'ın da güvenle tercih edilebileceğini söyledi.

Bu yıl maske kullanımının gevşemesiyle birlikte son 2 yılda görülmeyen enfeksiyonların da artış gösterdiğini belirten Kayıpmaz, "Solunum sistemi enfeksiyonlarını aralık ayının sonu ve ocak ayının ilk iki haftasında daha yoğun görüyoruz. Kayıpmaz, bireysel önlemlerin yanında, hastalık belirtisi gösteren çocukların bir süre okula gönderilmemesinin diğer çocuklara bulaş olmaması açısından önem taşıdığını dile getirdi.

RSV'nin özellikle bebekler ve çok küçük çocuklar açısından tehlikeli olabileceğine de işaret eden Kayıpmaz, ailelere şu uyarılarda bulundu:
