Filipinler'de bir anne ülkedeki aşı karşıtı kampanyadan etkilenerek kızamık aşısı yaptırmadığı kızı ve oğlunu bir hafta içinde peş peşe kaybetti.

Filipinler’in başkenti Manila’nın yoksul semti Baseco’da bir anne iki çocuğunu geçen sene kızamıktan kaybetti.

Ülkedeki aşırı karşıtı kampanyadan etkilendiğini ve “kızamık aşısının çocuklarına zarar vereceğini” düşündüğünü söyleyen anne Arlyn B. Calos, “Öfkeliyim çünkü televizyonda, Facebook’ta gördüklerime inandım. İnanmamalıydım. Çocuklarımı koruyabilmeliydim. Kızamığa yakalanmayabilirlerdi” dedi.

Kızamık salgınına yakalananların sayısının 35 bini aştığı Filipinler’de sadece bu yıl 500 kişi kızamıktan öldü.

İki çocuğunu aşılatmadığı için kaybeden anne “Büyük kızımın vücudunda benekler oluştu, ateşi yükseldi. Gözleri kıpkırmızıydı. Parasetamol verdim. Bir etkisi olmayınca San Lazaro Hastanesi’ne götürdük. Orada ilaç tedavisine başlandı. Küçük oğlum da kızamığa yakalandı. Öksürüyordu ve nefes almakta zorlanıyordu” dedi.

DANG HUMMASI AŞISI ÇOCUK ÖLÜMLERİNE SEBEP OLDU İDDİASI

Ülkede güvenli ve etkili bir kızamık aşısı mevcut olmasına rağmen Dang humması ile başlayan bir tartışma yüzünden tüm aşılar için asılsız iddialar ve yanlış bilgiler yayılıyor.

Bir hafta içinde kızı ve oğlunu kaybeden anne, “Haberlerde hatta Facebook’ta bile birçok çocuğun öldüğü söyleniyordu. O yüzden ben de çocuklarıma aşı yaptırmaya korktum” ifadelerini kullandı.

Her ne kadar dang humması aşısı ile ilgili bir inceleme olsa da şu ana kadar aşı ile çocuk ölümleri arasında bir bağ tespit edilemedi. Yine de bazı anne ve babalar çocuklarını aşılatmayı reddediyor.

İki çocuğunun ölmesinin çok acı olduğunu ifade eden anne, “Sürekli onları düşünmemek için kendimi işime verdim. Bir daha çocuğum olduğunda hiç tereddüt etmeyeceğim. Aşılatacağım ki, güvende olsunlar” dedi.

Both the Alpha Capricornids and Southern Delta Aquariids become visible annually when Earth passes through debris fields left by two Jupiter-family comets: 169P/NEAT (Alpha Capricornids) and P2008/Y12 (Southern Delta Aquariids). Cook also noted that, each year, “we’re passing closer to the core of the material that produces (the Alpha Capricornids) shower and in 200 years, it’ll be the strongest shower that’s visible from Earth.
